This organic dairy farm in Oregon needed to capture the nutrients prior to irrigating the manure wastewater onto the farmland near the milking facility. A pilot study was performed using a Geotube® container to capture the solids and filter the wastewater. Lab studies at WaterSolve, LLC revealed a dual polymer treatment of a coagulant followed by a flocculent was necessary to chemically treat the water. The study was performed in the winter of 2009. WaterSolve personnel were on hand to train the site manager on the polymer injection and management of the Geotube®.

This large food processing organization was looking to dewater biosolids which are generated through one of their washing processes. A pilot study was performed using a Geotube® container to capture the solids and filter the wastewater. Lab studies at WaterSolve, LLC determined the most efficient chemical to treat the material. The study was performed in the winter of 2009.

The management at this water treatment plant needed an alternative to remove solids from their alum sludge settling ponds during the rainy season when they couldn't apply on a farmers field.  Geotube® dewatering provided a low cost, immediate solution to the problem.  They are now free of worry when the weather doesn't allow land application and the costs have been controlled.
