This horizontal mining company was having trouble meeting the 40 mg/L TSS discharge limit required for the discharge water from the mining and 48' water main installation under two rivers in Wisconsin. WaterSolve, LLC was called in to furnish Geotube® containers to capture the solids and meet the discharge limit. Tubes and polymer make-down equipment were set up at three separate down shafts to collect the residuals at each discharge site. The Geotube® technology reduced costs and required fewer resources to operate as well.
