The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) and Texas A & M University will host its Annual Western Hemisphere Dredging Conference (WEDA 32 and TAMU 43) June 10-13, 2012 at the “Crowne Plaza Riverwalk” hotel in San Antonio, Texas. The theme of this conference “The Nuts & Bolts of Dredging" will focus on dredging and environmental issues associated with dredging programs that create a strong economy and enhance the marine environment. This conference will be a forum for discussions between North, Central and South American Dredging Contractors, Port Authorities, Other Government Agencies, Environmentalists, Consultants, Academicians, Civil/Ocean Engineers throughout the Western Hemisphere who work in the exciting fields of dredging, navigation, marine engineering and construction and the enhancement of the marine environment.

The 2012 "Headwaters to Ocean (H2O)" Conference is being organized by the California Shore and Beach Preservation Association, the California Coastal Coalition, the Southern California Wetlands Recovery Project, the Society of Wetland Scientists – Western Chapter, and the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve Coastal Training Program. The conference will cover a wide spectrum of coast and ocean issues.

The WRWA Annual Techincal Conference, which was first held in April of 1989, has grown into one of the largest annual water/wastewater industry events held in the entire upper Midwest. This years conference will be attended by over 1300 industry personnel and include over 200 exhibit booths, 53 hours of continuing education classes, entertainment and the ever-popular Sportsmans Raffle.
